Aubrey is a case manager for the FSW, CIH & ADW Medicaid waivers. Aubrey is passionate about connecting people to inclusive places and events and with necessary resources. She is married to her husband, Garrison, and has one daughter, Emma.
Casey Garrison just joined the Hancock County Arc in January of this year. She has two kids, an almost 2 and 4 year old! She has 3 family members with disabilities whom are on the Medicaid Waiver and they are they are the reason she started on her advocacy journey!
Phyllis brings a deep personal connection to her role on the Board as several of her family members have disabilities. She is passionate about being a part of an organization that creates inclusive and loving environments where individuals with disabilities and their families can discover a sense of belonging, personal growth and new friends.
Liz Subrin is a 2016 graduate of Butler University and longtime Indiana resident. Liz comes from a background in development in non-profit organizations, including fundraising, event planning and professional grant writing. She has a beautiful stepdaughter with special needs, named Margaux, who opened her world to the importance of advocacy and therapy services. This inspired her to start a children's book series about Margaux in an effort to spread awareness about Margaux's genetic disorder, Dup15q.
Janice Cassell has been a member of The Arc for over 25 years and has served on the Board in a variety of capacities. Every person is important to her and she strives to help all members of The Arc to understand how important and valued they are in our community.
Elizabeth is a passionate and dedicated professional in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with a wealth of experience working with children and individuals with neurodivergent conditions. In 2018, she took a bold step forward and founded E Behavior Solutions LLC, a company, located in Greenfield, dedicated to offering comprehensive ABA services to high-risk children in foster care, individuals with ASD, and those eligible for Medicaid Waiver services.
Michael Miller has been an Employment Consultant for the Community Employment Services
Department of Shares, Inc., a regional non-profit, including Hancock County. His goal is to increase programs and services for individuals with disabilities of all ages. He is a proponent of guided-decision making, self-advocacy, people first philosophies, and life-long learning. He was married to his wife, Susanne, for thirty years. Susanne was legally blind for the last five years of her life. Mike is also the father of Victoria, who has been disabled since birth, twenty-four years ago.
Paul Giertz is a father/guardian to an adult son who is on the autistic spectrum. He has over 20 years of experience with serving various non-profit boards and is passionate about advocating for the marginalized parts of society; particularly, children and adults with special needs.
Janet Kirkpatrick is joining the Hancock County Arc board in January of 2025. She recently retired and is passionate about volunteering and helping those with disabilities.
Ericka Cooper is an Employment Consultant with Shares Inc. She has been with Shares since 2021. Ericka is originally from Colorado and has a background in Nonprofit and Volunteer Management. Ericka attended the University of Wyoming and completed two years of AmeriCorp.
Ericka moved to Greenfield in 2017 and began working for The Garden Community Church, managing their Volunteer Program and Community Outreach. She lives in Greenfield with her husband and two bonus daughters. She is involved in the local VFW and VFW Auxiliary Chapter.
Kimmie joined our board a few months ago and has been involved in developing our new Self-Advocates Group.
